Hello! I'm Evie.

I'm an accredited trauma psychotherapist with extensive training in psychology and psychotherapy, holding two Master of Science degrees in Counselling and Psychology, alongside a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based methods such as psychodynamic theory and trauma-informed care, while drawing on the latest research to ensure therapy is both effective and tailored to you.

ABOUT ME

Milo is my dog and he sometimes joins me in my sessions - both in-person and online.

He usually sits on my knee or keeps to himself, and is extremely calm and gentle. I am hoping one day he will make a great therapy dog!

I let clients know when he is with me, and respect that some people would prefer to have dog-free sessions.

My work is integrative and draws on a range of approaches, particularly psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, and trauma-informed psychoeducation. I place particular focus on the influence of childhood and early relationships, as these experiences often shape how we respond to the world as adults.

Alongside exploring these patterns, I also use body-based strategies and practical tools to support emotional regulation and nervous system balance, reflecting the growing evidence that trauma is held as much in the body as it is in the mind.

I have been in my own personal therapy for over a decade and understand how difficult it can be to share painful experiences. Having recovered from my own struggles with PTSD and complex PTSD, I understand first-hand the complexities that trauma brings, and I have dedicated my training and practice to working in this delicate area of mental health.
