Initial Call

We will briefly explore your personal background, including family, relationships, and key life events, while also discussing the challenges you are currently facing and how they impact your life.

Together, we will set clear goals for therapy and define what you hope to achieve. This collaborative process will guide the direction of therapy and lay the groundwork for a strong therapeutic relationship.

Duration: 20-30 minutes

Counselling & Psychotherapy

While the sessions are not rigidly structured, they will progress at a pace that feels comfortable for you, all within a guided framework to ensure we stay aligned with your goals.

We will regularly review your progress through scheduled check-ins to ensure that therapy is meeting your needs and to assess how you are experiencing the process.

Duration: 50 minutes to 1 hour

As an integrative therapist I utilise all of the below approaches into my practice to suit your individual needs; I do not believe in a 'one size fits all' approach.

Types of Therapy

Trauma-Informed Therapy

This approach blends well with other types of therapy and recognises just how deeply trauma can impact every part of life. It emphasises creating a safe, supportive space where we can work through challenging experiences without risking re-traumatisation.

Trauma can affect your mind, body, and emotions, so it’s important to address all of these areas. By exploring the physical and emotional effects of trauma, we can work on understanding past experiences and finding ways to manage future challenges. Our sessions will be centered on your strengths, helping you feel more empowered and in control of your life

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is all about changing unhelpful habits and challenging the negative thoughts and behavior patterns that can cause distress. In our work together, we’ll break down problems into realistic, manageable steps, identify thought patterns that may not be serving you, and reframe them into more balanced and positive perspectives.

This structured approach is designed to give you practical skills that you can use in your everyday life. Our goal is to help you build resilience, better manage your emotions, and feel more in control of your thoughts and actions.

Psychodynamic Therapy

This approach looks closely at important experiences and relationships, especially from childhood, to see how they might be affecting your behavior today. It involves uncovering thoughts and feelings that may be just below the surface and bringing them into awareness.

The goal is to help you understand the deeper reasons behind your concerns and how certain beliefs shape your emotions and actions. Through this process, you can gain lasting insights into yourself, fostering greater self-awareness and meaningful personal growth.

Person-Centred Therapy

This approach, a key part of therapy, centers on empathy, non-judgment, and genuine support in a safe, accepting space.

Rather than directing the session, this type of therapy lets you take the lead, moving at your pace. The therapist is there to support, not advise, empowering you to explore what truly matters to you and address your concerns in a way that feels authentic. The main goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths and live in a way that feels more true to yourself.
